The big question here, really, is this– how can we provide an education that nurtures every child’s gifts, builds their capacity for creative thinking, strengthens their ability to concentrate, and offers a floor but no ceiling to their learning? We don’t have to do this for just 10% of children, or through a process that segregates so-called “gifted” from so-called “ordinary” children. We can do it for everyone. To see models in action, look at the great public Montessori schools across our country: Libertas in Memphis, Lumin in Dallas, and so many more.
